Veterans Donations

Several organizations in the United States consist of a considerably growing number of veterans from conflicts in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan and are in desperate need of veterans donations. Many of the veterans that return from these conflicts tend to have problems with a disorder called post-traumatic stress, which excessively deprives them from any sleep. People who have not been affected by this terrible issue of sleep deprivation tend to ignore the horrible consequences and how serious this problem is. People who suffer post-traumatic stress are not able to perform good enough to maintain a regular job and this is one of the reasons why veterans donations are needed so badly.

Post-Traumatic Stress Consequences

Many returning veterans have already failed to keep up with their regular careers for staying in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places for prolonged periods. When they come back home, they do it just to find it very hard to make a decent living for both themselves and their families. They truly depend on veterans donations to help them out a little bit since without veterans donations they will find themselves specially affected by the increasing economic crisis.

Back in 2005, there were close to 195,000 homeless veterans and by 2009, there were 200,000 homeless veterans. Some estimates raise that number up to 500,000 homeless veterans in 2011, and this number does not include the veterans' families. If so, the number would go from 500,000 homeless people to a million and a half supposing each veteran has only one child. Veterans donations are very important to help these families overcome their post-traumatic stress related problems. We need to be patriotic and help our veterans by making some veterans donations.

Some social service offices state that the main cause for veterans to be homeless is that they cannot afford the extremely high prices of homes. This matter continues worsen over the years, and not enough people are making veterans donations to help with this problem somehow.

No matter what you believe in, no American has reason that is good enough to let even one of our war veterans or a veteran's family to lose their home and become homeless. Political figures who decide not to pass laws that support our veterans should be taken out of their positions.

It is our responsibility to help our veterans get back on their feet, especially after they risked their lives for this country. Whether we support the reasons for which they were sent away or not, they are still people who need our help. They are still human beings who are suffering and going through a hard time. How would you feel if your son or daughter returned from a war and the country he or she was fighting for simply pretend he does not exist? We can change this and we should start by making veterans donations.
